Josh Hayes is a dedicated road racer who started in 1994 on a F2 that he
tuned himself while driving from race to race. After winning three
novice championships, Hayes turned pro in 1996 and two years later the
23-year-old from Gulfport, Mississippi entered the AMA ranks. Despite a
rocky start Hayes found his groove after competing in a variety of
divisions including Formula Xtreme, 750 Supersport and AMA Superstock.
After claiming third overall in the Formula Xtreme series Hayes
progressed dramatically and in 2003 he clenched his first AMA title in
Superstock.
