titles before heading to Europe to race the GP, from there it was onto
the States to take on the AMA. Reed pulled off an East Coast AX Sites
title in his first attempt and turned it into a Super cross championship
in 2004. Riding for Yamaha, Reed proved one of the top-three riders in AX, consistently challenging rivals James Stewart and Ricky Carmichael
and eventually bringing home another Super cross crown in 2008. Since
coming to America, Reed has never finished a full season outside the
top-10, and only twice outside the top-5.
Aboard a Suzuki in 2009, Reed took second overall in Super-cross after a
heated rivalry with Stewart that culminated in a tense Vegas finale
where Reed tried to boot Bubbly off the track. Reed took consolation in
the AX finish by dominating the ’09 motocross season after Stewart
announced he would not compete in the outdoor Nationals.
